The Chamber’s Annual Membership Drive was held May 17th through May 28th. The theme for this year’s drive was ‘Positioned to Win in 2010’. Volunteers made over 600 phone calls and delivered 100 membership packets during the drive. The Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing was held June 7th at the Johnson City Country Club. 92 golfers participated and 58 members donated to the prize packages. The Bristol, Kingsport, and Johnson City Chambers, in conjunction with the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry, coordinated a Regional Gubernatorial Candidate Forum, hosted by CenturyLink on June 14th, at Northeast State Community College. Candidates Haslam, McWherter, Ramsey, and Wamp participated, answering a series of questions developed by the Governmental Relations Councils of the three Chambers.
